The Town of Halifax alongside the Old Colony Planning Council (OCPC), State Representative Kathy LaNatra, and State Senator Michael Brady will be hosting a public forum surrounding the multifamily zoning requirements of the MBTA Communities Act on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Halifax Town Hall, 499 Plymouth Street.
Our objective is to offer Halifax residents and community members the opportunity to learn about the MBTA Communities Act, its requirements, and the Town's proposed zoning changes to comply with the legislation. Residents and community members will also be granted the opportunity to ask questions and voice their concerns on the topic.
The Town of Halifax invites everyone to attend the public forum on October 10th and engage in productive dialogue with fellow residents, industry professionals, and government leaders.
More information on the MBTA Communities Act multifamily zoning requirements are available on OCPC's website at https://oldcolonyplanning.org/mbta-communities.
